Kali NetHunter is a free and open-source mobile penetration testing platform designed for Android devices, based on Kali Linux. It was developed by Offensive Security and first released on September 24, 2014. Editions of Kali NetHunter
Kali NetHunter is available in three main editions, each catering to different device capabilities:
- NetHunter Rootless: This edition is for unrooted, unmodified devices, providing basic functionality without requiring root access.
- NetHunter Lite: Designed for rooted devices without a custom kernel, this edition includes more features than the Rootless version.

Installation
The installation process varies based on the edition being used.
